Mobile phone scratched?

i have a ssamsung u600 phone and scratched all the screen im coverd insurance with bank but still think it would be exp 2 repair does anyone know wat i could do?!!!!

  1. There are cell phone screen scratch remover's out there. One brand I know of is Displex. There's also a few products made to remove scratches from an iPod screen which would probably work on a cell phone, such as applesauce ( http://www.applesaucepolish.com/ ).

    Brasso apparently works wonders on LCD screens, but you might spend anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours polishing your screen.


  2. Check to make sure your insurance covers damage to the screen caused by negligence. I haven't heard of a policy that will cover that kind of repair. From my experience, the insurance usually only covers hardware / software / firmware failures and sometimes loss from theft, etc. Not aware of any policies that cover repair of cosmetic damage to glass screen, etc.

    Also, if your insurance policy does cover this repair work, then it doesn't matter how expensive it will be. That's the whole point of insurance. You may have to pay an excess, but that should be minimal.

    Good luck. Read your terms and conditions on your contract carefull before making any claims.
