Question:

Mobile phone to computer via bluetooth?

I have a sharp mobile phone, i'm tryna connect the phone to my computer via bluetooth, or infared, or whatever, but my comp won't pick up the phone/my phone can't find the computer, etc.

Basically I know my computer is bluetooth compatible, and infared too. But I can't connect them. I've tried searching windows' help thingy, just tells me I fail.

Google told me to download a prog. called Bluesoleil, I installed that and it looked promising until I tried to turn it on, it says:

"Can not start bluetooth.

Bluetooth hardware is not found."

What exactly do I need to do? My comp has bluetooth, so does my phone... I don't need a wire or anything do I?

Thanks.

  1. No you shouldn't need any wires if you comp definately has bluetooth already installed. Have you searched your pc either on all programs or by running the search for the actual program. failing that you could just buy a bluetooth dongle. you can get them for a couple of quid on ebay. i have one on my pc and its so much better than using a usb all the time

  2. to connect your phone to the pc via bluetooth you will need to buy a bluetooth dongle ( £10 in argos ) if your pc doesnt have bluetooth installed on it already, by the sound of it it doesnt as your phone would have picked it up.Bluesoleil is the software that the dongle would use when it is plugged into your usb port.  the dongle is a small usb device.

  3. make sure the bluetooth setting is enabled on your phone...and search for the bluetooth program that is already on your computer...if your computer is bluetooth enabled, then there is definately a program already installed on it...
