Question:

Mobility scooters?

I use mine for shopping and also for 'walking' the dog.

Views on usage appreciated.

I find footpaths are really bad, uneven & often ramps, at junctions, are non existent.

How do you cope - I just give up & go on the road itself !

Whats the furthest you've gone on a mob scooter ?

I've done about 7 miles 'walking' the dog !

  1. Hi

I find paths are atrocious round by me and so quite often use the roads as my mobility scooter is road legal. It is not unusual to find  cars blocking part of the path pot holes  uneven pavements and drop kerbs and diversions due to holes dug by workman without enough space to get my scooter through all of which is frustrating

As for my longest journey well that would be about 20 miles but then again my scooter is supposed to have a range of 25-35 miles. That was when i first  purchased it back in October of 06 however since may 07 i have had nothing but problems with it and they still are not sorted out much to my frustration.

When it is fixed i am hoping ot be able  to go back to going ofr long walks with it as well as going into my local city centre and visiting family on it all of which i cant do right now.

  2. I get angry with cars that block the slopes they are just lazy and have no respect for the disabled

  3. There are laws which are supposed to help you with those problems.  However,  I suppose your government also operates in a SNAFU, so they aren't much help.  You need an angry lawyer who will hold their feet to the fire on these issues and works on contingency fees.  Good luck, you'll need it.

  4. no where

  5. good on you
