I am planning on building a model jet engine. Would it be possible to create one that runs on propane, instead of have a fuel mixture injected into the engine? Have pure propane injected into the engine?

Thanks.

What fuel do jet's usually use for model planes? Jet A?

  1. they use jet A or kerosene in the models...

    or

seems it has been done!  jet a/diesel/kerosene are basically the same - jet a being cleaner, with more consistent octane.

Is the idea of propane to simplify the pressurization of the fuel?

Not to be negative...please do a personal inventory....

you have the skills to machine parts to those tolerences?  and the equipment for milling parts?  and a test room where it can be fired-up ?

I see they used an automotive turbocharger to simplify the project considerably...
