Modem And Telephone lines (outside)?

Lately my DSL modem has been loosing connection could the telephone line have something to do with it? I turn my House Phone on and there is no dial tone my ISP is att&yahoo.

Sounds like a wiring or switching problem.

Do you get the dialtone ofter a second or 2?

I have had the same problem and it turned out to be a fault in the phone unit itself. The line light on the modem that should burn steady would blink.

Yes I know,

Qwest said they had never experienced that problem due to a faulty phone unit.  But finally agreed it was possible after I replaced the phone itself.

Check out all of your line cords for wear.  Try another phone, intermittent problems like this are hard to trouble shoot.
