About three weeks ago I started having some minor pain in my upper right abdominal area just below the rib cage. At first I thought it might be my Gallbladder but it was very minor. I also noted some little pains here and there around the rest of the abdominal region. I have gained about 10 to 15 lbs around my mid section in the last few months. I also feel bloated. No blood anywhere, no nausea, feel tine otherwise. No fever. A family practitioner check me out last week rather poorley but he did push around on my stomach and I had no pain. Yet here I sit and every now and then I will have a pain. Lately most pain seems to be from moving around, stretching some way, around my lower right abdomen now, upper doesnt bother me much lately. I am 53 years old, male, am 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh about 235. Any Idea's ?

  1. There are a number of possibilities for what could be causing this such as an issue with the intestinal tract like Crohn's (an example only).  It could also mean that you may have pulled a muscle in that area (another example only).

I would recommend getting another opinion, preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently go to, to see what they think could be going on.
