Moderator died?

Question

The person formerly in charge of the Saving Graves project has died and among the things he left behind are a number of Saving Graves Yahoo groups, a number of which were set up as moderated by him. I am the original founder of Saving Graves and recently agreed to take the project back over. My question is what can be done about these groups?

If he was the owner of the groups, I guess you cannot take them back because only the owners can transfer the groups but if hes only the mods may be you can contact the group owners to change ownership of groups.

Your original email has to still be active or reactivate it, otherwise you are locked out and the group is abandoned..like thousands of others and Yahoo won't help
