Question:

Modern Georgia = WWII Poland?

Does anyone else see striking similarities between how n**i Germany rushed into Poland at the start of WWII and how Russia is rushing into Georgia?

I am not suggesting this is the start of WWIII, rather just wondering if anyone else see similarities. Like how Russia has really turned around in the last few years as a world power. The Suggestions of ethnic cleansing in Georgia, or the overwhelming reaction to a Georgian aggression that may or may not be true. Or maybe just the concept of Russia reclaiming the "Motherland"

If history doen't repeat itself, it certainly like to follow similar plot lines.

  1. The similarities, right down to the issuing of passports, are erie.  Certainly tactics were mimicked.

  2. Yes, the similarities are eerie.  The biggest difference is that instead of Chamberlain appeasing Germany, it's Bush appeasing Russia.

  3. It's more like the Sudetenland.  Hitler conquered that without being contested by western powers.

The Poland invasion started WWII.  I think modern Ukraine could be WWII Poland, if Russia decides to invade them.

  4. i believe tht its all bullsht tht u guys are sayin lol

wud love to hear at least smthing from u there http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  5. When n**i Germany invaded Poland, no Germans or members of any other ethnic group were massacred for refusing to join military pacts against other countries, or for refusing to send troops to other countries in order to help another country occupy them.

All Polish troops were in Poland on the 1.9.1939.

Hitler claimed Poland "invaded Germany" first, as he earlier claimed Czechs "were massacring Germans", or just as Pervert Clinton claimed Serbs "were massacring Croats, Muslims and Albanians", or just like the WW1 Austro Hungarian Empire claimed... and like some Americans believed those claims and "copied" them in WW2.

So Yes, history repeats itself, Russians always fight against forces of evil.
