  1. It really depends on what part of Mexico you are wanting to depict. I am from San Luis Potosi. A major part of Mexican culture is Indian. If you want to show something different than just the commonly known mariachi women then I would definitely say take a look into the Huasteca culture in Mexico. The women wear a shirt that always made of a floral print. It has short sleeves and small ruffles at the end of their sleeves. Their skirt is black and simply a wrap that is held with a pin around their waste. Around their head is a head band made with yarn. Each color has a meaning to itself. Traditionally the women do not wear shoes, but now days they are becoming accustom to it. The shoe is a very important part to any Mexican culture in fashion. Did you know that each state has its own shoe, called a (huarache, not spelled correctly) The shoes are made out of cow hide and are brown in color. You probably can find them at any traditional Mexican clothing store.  If you want to you can check out my blog for June 28, 2007 and I am actually dressed in the traditional outfit of a Huastecan woman. I have provided two links below, the first just tells about their outfits and the second is actually a picture of a good friend of mine named Juana. I actually almost fainted when I found this picture of her on line, lol. Thanks and if you would like to know more just write me familiadegarcia@yahoo.com

  2. Depending on where in México.

It is more about the WEATHER than the culture.

there are cold, temperate, arid and hot, humid and hot, places, and all the combinations. Although weather changes around the year, it is not as different between each season to another as it is in more northern countries.

  3. It depends on where in Mexico. Here in Mazatlan, people dress like they would in any tropical beach town - shorts and flip flops. Monterrey and Mexico City are both large business centers and very fashion forward, almost european in thier style of dressing.

  4. IM MEXICO EVERY GIRL DRESSES THE SAME. SERIOUSLY FASHION SUX THERE, CUSE ONE WEEK THERE WILL BE JUST ONE SHIRT THATS "IN" AND EVERY GIRL BUYS IT. THEN THE NEXT WEEK ITS OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW. UNLIKE HERE IN THE US. EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN STYLE.

IN MEXIC GIRLS MATCH EVERYHING FROM THEIR SHIRT TO THEIR SUX TO THEIR HAIR CLIP. SERIOUSLY.  HEY BUT I STILL LOVE MEXICO.

  5. In the bigger cities the women are very chic, very fashionable. Along the coast here in Baja many of the younger girls were tight jeans and T-shirts, beach dresses, and sandals. The clothing of the regions farther south can be found on the Internet. We only see native costumes when the dance troupes come to town.
