  1. Michael has stolen the words from my mouth. He is a gentleman and a scholar.

And surely Liverpool must have some claim to birthing some good music. and Manchester? And please don't forget New York.

And if you know your music you should realise that indie is no single scene, since it describes everything from post-punk revival to folk to anti-folk to shoegaze. it's stretched out so much that really any rock fan should find something they like that has no relation to the mainstream "indie".

  2. Yeah I'm mostly out of sync with modern music even though I'm young. There is some good new music but a lot of it and definitely not that British indie shite like The Kooks, doesn't have that attitude you're talking about. But listening to older music is a good thing anyway. :)

Some modern bands I like though,

    Beck

    Prodigy

    MGMT

    Air

  3. Well if London is the birthplace of all "real" music then you should have no  problem finding new innovative bands around where you live in the local scene . . .

P.S. - All of London's "real" music was just interpretations of American Blues.

  4. i agree with michael. everyone's sayin that new music sucks. but thats just cause their lazy and just look at the mainstream. you have to look for great music. every major city probably has a pretty cool underground music scene!!!
