Modern racism and subtle racism?

What is the difference between the terms modern racism and subtle racism?

Modern racism is conscious and explicit.

Subtle racism is subconscious and exhibited through "jokes" and emphasizing "basic cultural differences" between races.

That would come under the Occupational Health,Safety and Welfare guidelines.I suggest you go to your OHSW officer and discuss it with him/her or you can go to the person in charge of OHSW,who would have alot more knowledge and has passed ALL levels.
