  1. well, compared to ancient war, the winner is not necissarily based on who is the best.  like, lets say the most expert swordsman in the world went up against a US Army soldier with an M-4 Rifle.  well, the swordsman may be the best ever, but he cant dodge bullets.  Is it difficult to drop a bomb on someone, no. the technology beats the training to a certain level.

  2. Yeah, it's very impersonal.  We're not in the 1500's jousting for honor anymore.  The impersonal warfare came along with the introduction of guns.

  3. We have come nowhere near the impersonal role that I played as a US Trident Submariner. We have the power to wipe out countries with the push of a button...well a few buttons... yet we still put our troops in harms way and then stick around to clean up the mess. Who made these new rules about being nice after the shooting? Who will abide by these rules other than ourselves? Sorry, with 2 sons in the military and knowing many others still there, it is a sore spot with me. You don't need to clean up glass parking lots and nobody gets shot at while you're making them!!!
