Are modernity & religion in conflict?

  1. It would depend on the religion I imagine.

    But modernity is always in conflict with the traditions of the last generations.

    Most people my age who subscribe to a religion have altered their idea of spirituality to be more flexible with modern times.


  2. It actually depends on your understanding of modernity. For example if you think cloning is a form of modernity, then you see that a lot of religions were against it, it is a conflict. However, in general when it comes to is  Eurochristians, it is not a conflict because you can say modernity stemmed from euro-christianity.
