Modified Standard Diploma?

Hi I ‘m in 9th grad . I am in Special ed programs at my school. I am getting Modified Standard Diploma. What college accept Modified Standard Diploma? Or what community college accept? i am confused, help me out, Thank you.

  1. this has been asked before---from what I remember-most colleges will consider it -you shoudl be able to get into a publc/state college-More competitve colleges are less likely


  2. Community colleges have an open door policy. However. just like all colleges, they require placement tests. If your transcript (classes you have taken), do not support entry level academics, then you would have to remediate whatever the tests indicate. (This would be if you are seeking an associate's degree, or are looking at transferring to a four-year institution.)

    Many certificate programs or vocational training courses at community colleges would accept a modified standard diploma.

    I am pretty sure that 4-year institutions would not accept it.

    My students get state diplomas, but our special ed curriculum does not support academics necessary to enter college-level classes. Our curriculum is work and life oriented. Our students do take state tests which match our curriculum and the regular ed curriculum.
