Mods on a 1997 mustang stock v6?

Question

i have a v6 stang, what are some mods i can do to it to make it faster..i dont want to spend too much money..im a high school student n i have a 2k dollar budget

Gears and nitrous are your best bang for the buck.. Some 3.73's and 100 shot should help..

For 2k you can get a used blower or for a little more a V8 swap.

a chip is a complete waste of money.... you best bet is an intake and an exhaust system. you can buy both and have them installed for around 800 to 900$, or if you install them yourself for about 6 to 7.

Gears will cost most, if not all your money, and NOS will kill your engine. If you really want bang for your buck, but plan on keeping or reselling the car, go with a new chip, some headers, new exhaust, even a better air filter will increase horse power. NOS is nice, but you can easily blow your motor, or wear it out quick.

I recommend a Hypertech computer chip! I had one for an 87 Pontiac Fiero GT and it made a world of difference. You might look into an K&N cold air intake system also!
