Malaysia’s Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif continued his winning streak and reached into Men’s Singles quarter-final after defeating Korea’s Sung Min Park in round-of-16 encounter at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Thursday, December 6, in Korea.
The in-form Arif, who is the top seed in Men’s Singles category in the tournament, showed a steely determination on court as he played aggressive badminton all the way and defeated his local rival in 40 minutes.
Malaysian shuttler was in smashing form and he employed all of his attacking skills in the arena and remained successful in thrashing Sung Min in straight games with a reasonable margin on score board.
Meanwhile, the un-seeded Korean shuttler failed to live up to the expectations as he could not put up strong show despite having the support of his home fans. He was helpless against the aggressive Arif and lost the match without winning any set.

Malaysian shuttler continued putting up reasonable show in the concluding part of second game and remained successful in winning the set with a superb 21-16 total on score board.
The in-form Arif remained successful in winning this pre-quarter-final clash in 40 minutes with a convincing margin of 21-19 and 21-16.
