will participate in International tournaments as an independent player.
The World Number 32 Arif, who has been putting up his best efforts in all national and international tournaments, finally realised that his game has become stagnant and there should be some change. That’s why; he submitted his
resignation to BAM in order to refresh his passion by training as an independent player.
Arif has been playing under the supervision of Hendrawan, who is former World Champion from Indonesia and is currently serving as a coach in Malaysia.
While talking about his previous efforts in training sessions and also in tournaments, Arif expressed that he has been facing problems like lack of motivation.
He said, “I have been playing without motivation for the last few months and decided to make a decision about my career. I have handed my resignation letters on Friday — the BAM’s outgoing president Datuk Seri Nadzmi Mohd Salleh,
general manager Kenny Goh and outgoing coaching and training chairman Ng Chin Chai.”
He added, “I have arrived at one stage where I am stuck in my badminton career. I am looking for a change as I am still very much in love with badminton. I want to represent Malaysia in the World Championships and 2016 Rio de Janeiro
Olympic Games.”

Arif has been playing superb badminton and have also defeated many top players on different occasions. He outplayed the current World Number Two Chen Long in China in 2007 and continued serving Malaysia in many international tournaments.

as a better player.
