6-month imprisonment.
After serving half of his jail period, he was released in Ferbruary this year and spoke in public that he indeed had made a mistake.
The PCB had initiated a rehabilitation Program which consisted of some counseling sessions for the youngster, considering that the player had come from a humble background.
"The influence of the incident obviously added some ill feelings and memories with Amir that needs to be sorted out to give him a fresh state of mind.” PCB director education Wasim Bari said.”
The first of many counseling sessions scheduled by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the attacking bowler commenced in Lahore under the supervision of the experienced Dr. Maqbool Babri, who is a psychotherapist and a certified clinical hypnotherapist. Babri

"It was a very good session and the most positive aspect is that Amir himself realizes his mistakes and wants to redeem himself.” Dr. Maqbool Babri said.

rehabilitation program.
The 20-year-old pace was touted as one of the most promising talents to emerge in well over a decade, and displayed such potential during his 1-year career. He made his international debut in 2009 in the T20 World Cup, and after achieving success, showed
further prowess at Test level, bagging an impressive 6 wickets on his debut against Sri Lanka.
With a positive double-take from PCB to help Amir return to international cricket, the bowling sensation is content on serving his ban but has vowed to return even stronger.
