I have just read that Asif has been arrested at Dubai airport for possesion of an illegal drug....

He has claimed he did not know they were in his wallet..

Remember his ban back in 2006-Testing positive to the steroid nandrolone?...

Do you think he is innocent?..

OR

Do you think he is guilty again?...

If you do indeed think he is guilty-what sort of drug do you think it could be to be found in his wallet?....

  1. Karachi: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif has been detained at Dubai airport for possession of illegal drugs, a Pakistan Cricket Board official said on Tuesday.

We are co-ordinating with the Pakistan embassy and handling this issue.’’

"The substance recovered from him has been sent for tests. He is detained not arrested. We will now follow the legal procedures and we have hired lawyers for this purpose," Akram added.

Dubai Airport has an interesting history when it comes to drug

    interception, apparently.

  2. Why would anyone carry prescription drugs in his wallet? How could they fit anything in it for a start, as they are usually full of credit/key cards & drivers license etc.I am of the opinion that where there's smoke there's fire, but in this instance, I hope i'm wrong. The article states it was opium, lol. In Australia that's the name of one of our favourite perfumes!!! Maybe he wears perfume? lol

  3. I hope he is innocent

That would be a very huge loss for the pakistans

They do very much need the services of asif

  4. One report says that he was carrying 'Shilajit', an Indian ayurvedic medicine and that has been mistaken as opium. He claims he is being framed. We don't know the real situation as of now.

  5. Seen a report on Channel 10 news, said it was Opium.

Did not know they where there eh? Mabey it was the same person that put a pill in Andrew Johnspocket put it in Asifs wallet.

    Guilty as sin.

  6. he is innocent.................i

love him so much especially his hair style..............

  7. One version is that he was being framed for being rude to the Dubai authorities. Was slightly drunk it seems.

A person who has just made a huge income would not do this. That too risk his life in Dubai.

  9. I also think that he is guilty!!

About what sort of drugs, I have no idea..

  10. Border guards and customs officers should be allowed to shoot people like that.

  11. I think he's guilty.

  12. i feel he is guilty

  13. How can someone not know what is in his wallet? As a man who infrequently opens his!!!!.....I know exactly what is in mine (moths).

It beggars belief that anyone who go to an airport with anything remotely suspicious on them. I'm searched so many times I'm tempted the next time I go to strip to my underwear when I walk through security. They'd probably drag me off to check me internally with latex gloves!

Mohammed Asif must be really stupid. If they are prescribed drugs, they should be clearly labelled.

  14. Nadeem Akram, human resources manager for the PCB, told Indian news channel CNN-IBN Asif had been given the substance by a hakeem, a traditional Islamic healer.

Akram said: "Yes, he has not been arrested he has been detained at Dubai airport.

"Apparently it was some drugs given to him by a doctor. It was a very small quantity, it was in his wallet. A small bit of powder.

"It is a medicine given to him by a hakeem in Dubai. It had been given to him some 5-6 months ago and he had forgotten about it."

Akram revealed the substance had been sent for testing.

He added: "Once the tests are completed we will know what the substance really is, what it contains.
