Pakistan’s T20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez has said that his team is “ready and prepared” for the India challenge. However, he is not reading too much into India’s recent thrashings at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
"We are ready and prepared for the India challenge," Hafeez had said at the end of the week-long conditioning camp in Lahore. "We have trained so hard to get ready for the India series. India might be low at the moment [after losing to England in the Test series] but it's a new format and they have a very balanced T20 team," added the experienced all-rounder.
The Pakistan Cricket Board organised a week-long training camp for the national players at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore from December 14 to 22. Former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 tour. Hafeez, who was given the reins of the national T20 side in May this year, admitted that pressure would be high on both sides; however, he hoped his players would not get bogged down by it.
"Nobody can deny the fact that a Pakistan-India series carries intense pressure. The contest is always full of pressure and full of expectations of people of both countries. We will try to express ourselves without any pressure," said the Pakistan T20 skipper.
Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to play two T20 Internationals and three ODIs against India at the latter’s backyard over the next couple of weeks – the first bilateral series between the nemeses since 2007.
In the first leg of the itinerary, the two sides will play two T20I fixtures, one each in Bangalore and Ahmedabad on December 25 and 28 respectively. The three ODI encounters will be held in Chennai (December 30), Kolkata (January 3) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 (January 6).
Pakistan’s 15-man T20 squad arrived in Bangalore on Saturday night.
