Mohammad Hafeez all set to take on India in the Champions Trophy – Cricket News
Pakistan’s charismatic opening batsman, Mohammad Hafeez, has said in a recent interview that his side’s clash against arch rivals India in the forthcoming Champions Trophy would be a treat for the fans and his
boys are all set to take the field.
Talking to reporters in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751, where Pakistan are currently touring, Hafeez said, “Any match against India is always very special and as usual we are waiting for the match. But we will be trying to play every
game in the tournament in the same manner and with same passion.”
“The match against India should be electric and I always enjoy playing against India because the atmosphere is different and the environment is charged. Both the teams give more than 100 per cent to do well,”
he added.
The last time the two rivals played, Pakistan came on top, beating hosts India in the One Day International (ODI) series. The Men in Green would be hoping to repeat the performance in the mega event once more.
However, they will go into the tournament without the experience of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482, Younis Khan and Umar Gul, which according to critics will exert considerable pressure on Misbah-ul-Haq’s men.
Nonetheless, Hafeez is confident that pacers Junaid Khan and Mohammad Irfan will come through against the rivals.
"I think Junaid Khan and Mohammad Irfan will prove to be handful in English conditions with the new ball,” Hafeez explained.
The opening batsman was quick to support ace spinner Saeed Ajmal, who he believed would be an asset under English conditions. He insisted that Pakistan were at an advantage due to the fact that most players in
the current squad had played in England before.
