The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is fully focused towards implementing its policies, and for that very purpose they have been issuing notices to players and team management.
PCB wants its players and management to adhere by the code of conduct and those breaching it are being fined heavily.
The most recent players to come under the scrutiny of Board are all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595.
Both Hafeez and Akmal have been accused of interacting with media personals and giving interviews without the consent of PCB.
PCB has handed show-cause notices to both cricketers and wants their explanations in this regard. An official of the board has revealed that Hafeez and Akmal may be fined if they fail to convince the Board of their actions.
The official said that it is clearly written in the contracts of the players that before they interact with media for interviews they must get clearance from Board.
"It is the policy of the Board and clearly laid down in the central contracts of players that they can only give interviews after getting permission from team management or the Board,” said PCB official.
He further declared, “Under the new clauses of their contracts players can't give interviews without permission as the board tries to introduce a semblance of order and discipline in the team.”
Hafeez, who has been Pakistan’s best all-rounder since his comeback into the national team, in a talk with local media channel, asserted that he wants to be consistent as a player and dismissed the rumours about him being interested in captaincy.
The all-rounder said, “My job is to perform well for the country as a player, I`m not interested in captaincy. My interview has been misinterpreted and misreported.”
Akmal, on the other hand, has openly declared his desire to bat at number four position. The youngster currently bats at number six, where he is usually used as a pinch hitter.

Afridi the former skipper of Pakistan cricket team was heavily dented with a fine of 4.5 million rupees after criticizing PCB in media, whereas, Haider, the runaway wicketkeeper was fined 500,000 rupees.
