Ijaz Butt, the former Test cricketer and ex-Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is not happy with the leadership skills of Mohammad Hafeez and has once again slammed authorities for replacing Misbah ul Haq as the T20 captain.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 levelled the T20 series against Sri Lanka but the overall performance of the team was not satisfying. The Green Shirts failed to chase down a mediocre total of 132 runs in the first match at Hambantota as their batting looked extremely fragile.
In the second match, the batsmen struggled once again and could only manage 122 runs for the loss of six wickets, thanks to a partnership of 68 runs between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Malik-c90088. The bowlers did well to defend the score but the performance of the
side was not convincing enough.

Butt believes that the board should not have tinkered with the team combination before the mega event and blamed team selection for Pakistan’s loss in the first match against the Islanders.
"Wrong [selection of] captain, wrong selection [overall], especially of the wicketkeeper [Shakeel Ansar] led to the shameful defeat against Sri Lanka," Butt expressed.
This is not the first time Butt has criticised the appointment of Hafeez as he has maintained this opinion ever since Misbah was replaced by the opening batsman. The former Test cricketer is of the opinion that Hafeez does not possess the required skills
for leading an international side.
Butt expressed last month that Pakistan team has been doing well under the captaincy of Misbah since the last year and PCB should not have experimented, as this can break the side's momentum.
“Hafeez is not a suitable candidate for captaincy of any format of the game and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 was the best choice, but I don’t know what kind of pressure Zaka was under, which forced him to take an unnecessary decision, without any rock-solid reason,” the
ex-Chairman stated.
