Mohammad Hafeez praises Misbah-ul-Haq’s leadership skills – Cricket News Update
Pakistan’s T20 skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 is one of the best captains he has played under and revealed that the middle-order batsman is widely respected in the national team because of his ability to absorb pressure in difficult
situations.
In the last couple of months, there have been many rumours in media, claiming that there is a rift between Hafeez and Misbah. However, both the cricketers categorically denied all such reports in a press conference in Lahore.
Hafeez and Misbah are currently representing Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) in the on-going President’s One-Day Trophy, having already steered their side to the final of the competition, which will be played on April 19, 2013.
While speaking to reporters after the semi-final against Habib Bank Limited (HBL), the T20 captain showered praise on Misbah and expressed that the middle-order batsman is one of the best captains he has played under.
Hafeez is extremely impressed by the Test and ODI skipper’s showings in the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 as well as in the recently-concluded Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Tournament 2013 in Lahore, where Misbah led Faisalabad Wolves to title triumph, also qualifying
for the Champions League T20 2013, which is going to be played in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. The seasoned middle-order batsman has looked in sublime form with the bat in recent times.
"Misbah is one of the best captains I have ever played under. We have played most of our cricket together for years now and Misbah has shown himself to be a honest, fair, dedicated, committed and very composed captain. He did well in the one-day series in
SA and then also by winning the national T20 super eights title for Faisalabad Wolves.”
The cricketer from Sargodha further added that Misbah treats everyone in the team equally and he has gained respect of the whole side because of his ability to hold his nerves in tight situations.
"He deals equally well with the seniors and juniors and he is honest and forthright. His best quality is he remains calm and composed under all situations and there is respect for him in the team," Hafeez added.
