However, the cricket analysts around the world feel that the real test of the Green Shirts is going to be against the in-form English team. England is currently the number one ranked Test team of the world in Tests and T20, and the series in United Arab
Emirates (UAE) is going to be a huge test for them as well because they would be playing in altogether different conditions as compared to England.
For his interview to Pakpassion, Ilyas revealed that the selection committee will finalize the squad for the Test series at the end of the on-going Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He wants to have a good look at all the players before he announces
the team for the crucial Test series.
The Chief Selector said, "The selection committee will meet after the series in Bangladesh is concluded and then decide upon the squad. The series against England is a huge one and we need to ensure that we select what we believe will be the best group of
players to play against England. There is no point in selecting the Test squad yet, we want to make sure that the players in Bangladesh are given every opportunity to impress ahead of the matches against England."
Ilyas further added that the conditions in UAE are going to suit the Pakistani batsmen as they struggled last year in the controversial tour of England.
"Conditions in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 last year were very difficult for the Pakistani batsmen and they struggled against the England bowlers,” Ilyas added.
