Left-arm fast bowler, Mohammad Khalil, who has been called up in the Pakistan team for the tour of Bangladesh has said that he is extremely excited to be back in international cricket and wants to cement his place in the national team by performing well.
The budding young fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, which is due to start from the 29th of November, 2011.
Khalil burst into the scene of international cricket in 2004 when he was selected in the national team for the tour of Australia. However, the left arm fast bowler remained wicket-less in the two Test matches he played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
Some extra-ordinary performances in the domestic cricket of Pakistan since last couple of years have forced the selectors to give him another chance at the highest stage of the game.
Khalil expressed that he is happy to be back at the international level and now he wants to make a mark by doing well for the country.
The left arm pacer said, "I'm just so excited at my recall. It's been a long six years since I last played for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and I'm so pleased to be back in the international reckoning. It was in my heart to play for my country again as I felt that I have unfinished
business to complete."
He claims that he has learnt a lot in the domestic cricket of the country and feels that he has become a more potent bowler now after years of experience of first-class cricket.
Khalil said that the domestic cricket of Pakistan is not that easy for a cricketer to perform and said that the national cricket has made him a better cricketer than what he was six years ago.
"I've not changed anything technically with my bowling, I'd put my good form down to being a more rounded and experienced bowler these days. When you have done the hard yards in Pakistani domestic cricket, there isn't much left to learn as a quick bowler,”
he added.
