Mohammad Muneer wins the Byco 13th Sindh Open 
Pakistani ace Mohammad Muneer finished the final round at par to lift the trophy of Byco 13th Sindh Open at par-72 Arabian Sea Country Club in Karachi, Pakistan.
Muneer stepped on the course early morning to take advantage of the slightly chilly conditions, as it tends to get really warm later in the day. Using the edge of leading the second round, the veteran remained at par in the last round, which was enough
for him to get past the rest of the field and surge into lead. The winner compiled an aggregate of 11-under-par, 205 to bank on a prize money of Rs153,000.
Ansar Mahmood of Navy bagged on the second prize worth Rs103,000 after carding a score of six-under-par, 210. The third position of the three-day session was taken up by the defending champion of the tournament, Shabbir Iqbal. The pro posted an aggregate
of four-under-par, 212 to grab the prize money of Rs64,000.
Arabian Sea Country Club’s member, Sajid Khan took advantage of his familiarity with the course and bagged on the amateur title after compiling a score of 12-over-par, 228. This is Khan’s second consecutive success in the amateur category. He kicked
off with a score of 76 in the first round, followed it with a 77 and capped it with a 75. A week ago, the player won the UMA 16th CNS Open amateur title at the Karachi Golf Club.
Mohammad Rehman finished runner-up in that category with a score of 13-under-par, 229. Pakistan Golf Federation Secretary, Taimur Hasan wrapped the three-day session tied in the fifth spot with a score of 19-over-par, 230.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, which was chaired by Aamir Abbassi, the CEO of Byco – title sponsor for the event. Before giving off the cash prizes to the winner and runner-up, Abbassi spoke about the contribution of Byco
in promoting golf. He disclosed that it was the second time in the same season, when Byco sponsored a sports event. 
Abbassi added that the company was looking forward for a long-term collaboration with the tour in organizing and promoting events such as Sindh Golf Open.
