Mohammad Sami optimistic about the chances of Karachi http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dolphins-c781 in the Super Eight T- 20 Cup – Cricket News Update
The captain of Karachi Dolphins, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Sami-c77289 is positive about his team’s chances in the on-going Faysal Bank Super Eight T- 20 Cup in Rawalpindi but has warned his team against complacency.
The regular captain of the Dolphins, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.
Historically, Karachi has produced a number of great cricketers but over the last decade the city has not provided world class players to the Pakistan team. Players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahzaib-Hasan-c2488 have been
given opportunities at the international level but they have failed to cement a place in the national team. At the present moment, three players from Karachi, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sarfraz-Ahmed-c88818 are part of the Pakistan team.
The Dolphins started the tournament well defeating the defending champions, the Rawalpindi Rams. While speaking to pakpassion, Sami said he was satisfied with the performance in the first match. He believes that the Dolphins did well in all three departments
of the game and they must perform consistently in the group stage, in order to qualify for the semi-finals of the event.
The out of favour fast bowler said, "The victory over Rawalpindi was a very good one. I was really pleased with the all round effort from the team and it's very important to start a tournament such as the Super 8s with a victory. A winning start sets you
up nicely for the rest of the group stage."
While talking about the competitive nature of the tournament, Sami said that the best teams of domestic cricket take part in the Super Eight tournament and no team can afford to relax in the shortest format of the game.
“These are the top 8 teams in Pakistan in the twenty over format and there are no pushovers. Every match is competitive and hard fought and if you are not on your game 100% then you will struggle,” he added.
