Mohammad Yousaf signs up to play league cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747
Veteran http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 batsman, Mohammad Yousaf has announced that he will be signing a deal with the Bangladesh club, Mohammedan Sporting in the Premier Division cricket league of the country. The Sri Lankan all rounder, Farveez Maharoof
played for the club, however, sustained an injury due to which he had to head back home and in his place the club has now recruited Mohammad Yousaf. Mohammad Yousaf has been struggling with form and has failed to make a mark especially after being called out
of retirement by the PCB to head in to the Tests played against England earlier in the year.
Mohammad Yousaf was ruled out of the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wasim-Akram-c96292 said that Mohammad
Yousaf must stop cribbing and prove his fitness if he wanted to make a comeback to the national side. Mohammad Yousaf has starred in 90 Test matches for Pakistan, scoring at an average of greater than 52. However in the last 11 Tests he has averaged just below
35, including a lone hundred.
"I have no idea about the competition [in Bangladesh] but you know cricket is cricket. I can understand the standard and nature of the competition after playing the first couple of games. I want to play all the matches if I am
not selected for national duty. As a professional cricketer it would not be hard to motivate myself in this competition,” Yousaf said.
Many former Pakistan players have played Premier division cricket including the legendary left arm fast bowler Wasim Akram. With the provisional suspension of three key players of Pakistan by the ICC it is important that players
like Mohammad Yousaf step up their game to take the challenge and prove their worth to the team for the 2011 World Cup.
It remains to be seen if Yousaf will be able to find his form in time to make it to the 2011 World Cup. If he cannot, then it might mark the end of his career.
