Mohammad Yousuf not among http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 changes at Edgbaston
Pakistan have not included Mohammad Yousuf in their playing XI for the Test against England at Edgbaston, but have made two changes to the squad that was thumped by 354-runs in the series opener in Nottingham.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Danish-Kaneria-c1314, who was released from the Test squad following their loss in the first Test, is joined on the sidelines by Kamran Akmal, who has paid the price for a nightmare match behind the stumps at Trent Bridge.
In Kamran’s place, Zulqarnain Haider will be handed the gloves for his Test debut while Saeed Ajmal replaces leg-spinner Kaneria with his off-spin.
Having elected not to include 88-Test veteran Yousuf in the team, and including one Test debutant and another player with just five Test matches under his belt, Pakistan will begin this match with an even less experienced side than the one that crumbled in the face of a stable and established England line-up last time out.
To that end, England haven’t made any changes to their team from the one that dominated Salman Butt’s side in Nottingham and after losing the toss and being set out to field will be hoping James Anderson can be as effective with his swing early in this match as he was when he snared 11 wickets for the match at Trent Bridge.
