Mohammad Yousuf to take part in Bangladeshi League
The stylish Pakistani batsman Mohammad Yousuf will play league cricket in Bangladesh. Yousaf will be playing in the Mohammedan sporting in the Premiere Division Cricket League. The club had signed Yousuf in place of Ferveez Maharoof of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 who sustained
an injury and returned home.
Yousuf had some injury issues and he was not able to represent the Pakistan team in the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 tour as he was unable to prove his fitness to the selectors.
Yousuf has played 90 Tests for Pakistan and is one of the four Pakistani batsmen to score at an average of more than 50 in Tests. From 2008 and onwards, Yousuf has scored only one century and has an average of 35 in eleven matches.
Commenting on the League cricket in Bangladesh Yousuf said, “I have no idea about the competition in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 but you know cricket is cricket.” The performance and fitness will be very important for Yousuf as he is doubted over being selected for the World
Cup 2011. All the teams had to submit a 30 man preliminary squad until December 19th but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had requested for an extension in this date which was granted by the ICC.
Yousuf stated that he will get used to the competition within a few games. He said, “I can understand the standard and nature of the competition after playing the first couple of games. I want to play all the matches if I am not selected for national duty.
As a professional cricketer it would not be hard to motivate myself in this competition.”
Yousuf is not the first Pakistani cricketer to take part in the Premiere Division Cricket League. There are several other cricketers who have participated in this competition. The biggest name amongst all those players was the former captain and all-rounder

Yousuf was unable to impress the selectors as he only participated in one match of the domestic tournament being played in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755. He failed to make an impression and scored ducks in both the innings he played.
