Mohammed Shehab and Mohammed Al Joker aiming to shine for UAE in 2011 Snooker World Cup
UAE’s Mohammed Shehab and Mohammed Al Joker have high aims as a team in the upcoming 2011 Snooker World Cup, running from July 11 to 17 at World Trade Centre in Bangkok. The UAE team has been drawn against China, Thailand 1, Malta and Australia in Group

Shehab’s playing style bears a resemblance to the cool Steve Davis while Al Joker plays like the Rocket, Ronnie O’Sullivan. They have different cue styles and together they can produce some extraordinary snooker shots, as they have done before for their
country. Once they are at the baize together, the duo can be a formidable team. Both Emiratis have brought 15 Gulf titles and six Arab Championships to UAE.
While speaking to the local media, Shehab said, "We are like a couple. We understand each other, we support each other. I know what's on his mind without him having to say it. I have been through every situation, at tournaments, in matches where this guy
supported me, said something to me that inspired me. I have done the same for him."
Al Joker added, "When Shehab is not on the team, or I am not on the team, we feel like something is missing. Me and Shehab, we are always supporting each other. If he does good, I support him; if I do good, he supports me."
Shehab and Al Joker were selected for the mega event on the basis of their achievements in their respective snooker careers. The 34-year-old Shehab has won two bronze medals at the World Games, while he is the current West Asian Snooker Champion too.
The 2011 Snooker World Cup will be a two-man team event featuring twenty teams from 19 countries around the globe. The host country, Thailand, has the liberty of participating with two teams in the tournament. The total prize money of the event is £431,844
