The all-rounder from Sargodha replaced Misbah ul Haq as the T20 captain in May and led the Green Shirts in the T20s in Sri Lanka, leveling the two-match series.
Since making his way to international cricket in 2003, the 31-year-old cricketer failed to cement his place in the national team for most part of his career. The opening batsman however, has been an integral part of the Green Shirts

Some of the former cricketers were not impressed by Hafeez’s leadership in Sri Lanka and want him to be more aggressive.

former cricketer said.
Pakistan is placed alongside http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 in group D and will play their first match on September 23rd. The Men in Green are expected to do well in the tournament because of their track record in T20 cricket, being the only team
to have qualified for the semi-final stage of all the three World T20s played so far.
Apart from captaincy, the former interim coach of the national side expressed that Hafeez is one of the most important players in the squad because of his ability to contribute in all departments of the game.
Mohsin added, “I think Hafeez is a very good all-rounder and a crucial player for the team. When I was the coach, I used to tell him that batting should always be his top priority. He is a fine bowler and his fielding is good too.”
