The former interim coach of the Pakistan team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohsin-Hasan-Khan-c77595, is not entirely happy with the 15-man squad for the ICC World T20 2012 and thinks that the selectors could have done without an additional opening batsman.

The authorities have included four opening batsmen (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nasir-Jamshed-c78752 and Kamran Akmal) in the team. All of them are prolific stroke-makers and possess the ability to change the course of a game in a short span of time.
Mohsin however, doubts that all of them will be able to find a place in the playing-XI because of the team combination, especially because Kamran, the wicketkeeper/batsman is certain to play, because of his experience.
The former opening batsman expressed, "I could not really understand the logic behind selecting four opening batsmen for three matches. If you have recalled a player like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kamran-Akmal-c70122, then obviously you are going to make him play – you’re not going to keep
him out of the playing XI."
Akmal has made a comeback to the national team after the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011, where the keeper’s performance was found wanting.
Mohsin thinks that the upcoming limited-overs series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 is going to be great preparation for the Green Shirts. The former interim coach is of the view that the captain and the coach can try out different combinations
during the series, so that they start the World T20 with a settled approach.
"I’m sure the team management will think hard before picking the playing XI. I hope the team management will make sure they give maximum number of matches of this series to the players who are possible starters for the World Cup," he added while talking
to Pakpassion.
