Mohsin Khan slams the team management after the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohsin-Hasan-Khan-c77595, the former Test cricketer, has slammed the team management after the country’s dismal performance in the Test series against South Africa recently and said that the team lacked in homework and planning.
Before the tour of South Africa, the cricket pundits expected the Green Shirts to do well against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GC-Smith-c1473 and company because of a talented bowling attack. However, the visitors failed to live up to the expectations and were whitewashed by the number
one ranked Test team of the world, although Pakistan came close to winning the second Test at Cape Town.
The tourists won the only T20 International played on the tour but went on to lose the five-match One Day International (ODI) series by a margin of three games to two.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Davenell-Frederick-Whatmore-c52571 as the coach of the national team last year, is extremely disappointed with the performance of the side and feels that the role of the team management seemed to be missing in South Africa.
The former opening batsman said, “Pakistan were dismal in the three Test matches. I feel the basic reason for this was the lack of coherent game plans. We needed two or three alternative strategies, but we didn’t appear to have any. I also didn’t see any
determination or motivation from the players – the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Neil-Killeen-c79132 instinct and fighting spirit was completely lacking in South Africa.”
The former cricketer from Karachi thinks that there were some good individual performances on the tour but the boys failed to deliver the goods as a unit, which was needed against one of the strongest sides of the world.
“There were some individual performances, of note from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imran-Farhat-c64218 in the one day series but it was very disappointing because the team was much better than it performed,” he added.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in June. Whatmore and the rest of the team management have been retained for
those tours.
