Khan, who is among the coaching staff at PCB’s Fast Track Coaching Programme, organized at PCB’s national cricket academy, Lahore, insisted that the players he has seen in the programme possess immense talent and they only need to rectify some flaws in their
techniques.
Speaking to newsmen, the 56-year-old former opening batsman said, “At the moment, with the exception of two or three players, we’re relying on the young blood at our disposal. They need to mature quickly as each one of them is a professional and is being
paid a good amount.”

According to sources, PCB invited those players for the programme which had given commendable performances in domestic cricket.
Speaking on the selection of the players for the national team, Khan reiterated that performing at the highest level requires consistency in the players. He stressed that for a player to catch the eyes of the selectors, it is imperative to score as many
runs with the bat and snatch enough wickets to be taken as a serious contender for a place in the national team.
“Whatever the level of talent that the players possess, they have to perform as well. Batsmen need to score and bowlers have to take a lot of wickets to catch eyes of the selectors.” said Khan.
Mohsin expressed satisfaction over the hard work put in by the coaching staff to help the players to overcome their problems. He insisted that it was now up to the players to give commendable performances in their future games.
