Moin Khan appointed as Pakistan’s new chief selector – Cricket news

The previous chief selector and former left-arm spinner, Iqbal Qasim called it a day earlier this month, one day after announcing the squads for the on-going limited-overs series in the Caribbean. The decision to appoint Moin as the new chief selector has
been taken by the acting Chairman of the PCB, Najam Sethi, who holds these powers as per the constitution.

“The other members of the selection committee that was headed by Mr Iqbal Qasim will continue to work under Moin till further orders,” the PCB said in a brief statement.
The 41-year-old former player has represented Pakistan in 69 Tests and 219 One Day Internationals, having more than 400 victims under his belt. On top of that, he has scored more than six thousand runs at the highest stage of the game with the help of four
centuries and 27 fifties.
