While speaking to media reporters here in Lahore, the former wicketkeeper batsman said that the lack of strategy and planning by the coach and captain led to Men in Green’s humiliating Test series crushing at the hands of the Proteas.
"What hurt is the way we lost inside four days in all three matches," said Moin Khan, a veteran of 69 Tests and 219 One Day Internationals.
"I see this as a failure of the team management. We saw players repeating mistakes again and again in the series. This happened because of poor strategy and planning. We continued to change combinations throughout the series."
"Our bowlers have been our strength but we came up with a new attack in every match. I have failed to understand the strategy of the team management," the former Pakistan cricketer went on to add.

national coach in late 2011 following Waqar Younis’ resignation.
Khan further said that he was disappointed to see Pakistan team’s capitulation in all the three Tests, and urged the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board management to appoint some local head coach. He also questioned sacking of former coach Mohsin Khan, who led Pakistan
to a clean-sweep against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 (the then No. 1 Test side) last year in the UAE in January last year.
"I think the Pakistan Cricket Board must seriously think about having a Pakistani as the national team coach. Foreign coaches don't work within our cricket culture because they are just not able to communicate properly with our players," said Khan, who played
international cricket for Pakistan between 1990 and 2004.
"I don't think it was a wise decision to replace a successful coach like Mohsin http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319 and appoint Whatmore because he has failed to deliver in his one year as coach. I think he has just not been able to work well with our players. He should resign or the
board should think about replacing him with a local coach," he added further.
Pakistan cricket team is next scheduled to play five ODIs against South Africa.
