One automotive antifreeze consists of 445 g of ethylene glycol, C2H4(OH)2; and 400 g of water. The density is 1.072 g/mL. What is the molarity of ethylene glycol?

    that 1072 grams is glycol at a ratio of 445 g / 845 grams:

    1072 g total @ 445 g glycol  / 845 g total = 564.5 grams is glycol per litre solution

    564.5 g glycol per litre  @ 62.068 g/mol molar mass = 9.0956 molar

    your answer(3 sigfig): is 9.10 Molar ethylene glycol
