Mold on lychee (litchi) outer skin...still edible?

Its been quite hot and humid, and some speckles of mold have formed on the outer skin of the lychee (litchi). Is it still edible to eat, considering its only on the skin and nothing visible on the inside? Or is it unsanitary?

  1. You can still eat it.  You peel the skin off anyways.  Here in FL it's so humid the oranges, lemons & grapefruit get black mold on them all the time and we just ignore it.  Peel and eat them.  The fruit is fine.
