what makes moles come to your house? and why do people consider them to be pests?

well i am not sure what attracts them to your house. it might have something to do with good soil or something.. but people call them pest because they tear up a yard in a matter of days. its annoying to have this nice yard and have it ruined by a mole.

I wish someone would answer this, they have invaded my yard with a vengance. I have tried everything, short of dynamite... They deystroy your yard,I have declared war on the little yard wreckers...

They are coming to your yard to feed on worms, grubs, and subterranean insects.  People consider them pest because their tunneling can ruin a fine yard.
