Molly Bateman earns Girls 100-yard butterfly title: 2011 High School State Championships
Molly Bateman and DJ Tice put up stunning performances at the NSCIF Division II Championships in Cottonwood, California, on Wednesday, October 26. The results of the 2011 High School State Championships were published on Wednesday, November 2.
Molly Bateman pocketed the Girls 100-yard butterfly title by knocking out her rivals, Veronica Foley and Taylor Moebes in a nerve wrecking time of 1 minute and 02.55 seconds. Meanwhile, Foley pocketed second spot in a mark of 1 minute and 05.55 seconds and
Moebes settled at third position by submitting a time of 1 minute and 07.01 seconds.
Lauren Rulofson performed well in the respective race and settled at fourth spot by hitting the finishing wall in a time of 1 minute and 11.11 seconds. Ashley Shaw posted an impressive time of 1 minute and 13.40 seconds to earn fifth position, while Angelica
Arellano settled for sixth position by thrashing the finishing wall in a mark of 1 minute and 14.44 seconds.
Anna Doyle earned seventh place honours by claiming the finishing wall in a blot of 1 minute and 16.31 seconds, whereas, Kaitlyn Solano had to settle at eighth spot in a time of 1 minute and 17.92 seconds. Kelsie Lywandowsky earned ninth position in a time
of 1 minute and 22.95 seconds, while Jordan Sayabath claimed tenth mark in a spot of 1 minute and 23.11 seconds.
In addition, DJ Tice thrashed down his competitors, Steven Jordan and Teddy Crete by touching the finishing wall in a fastest time of 55.05 seconds to win the Boys 100-yard butterfly title. Jordan finished second spot by posting a time of 55.22 seconds,
while Crete earned third position in 55.67 seconds.
Moreover, Kevin Lane earned fourth mark by hitting the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 02.17 seconds and Noah Parham earned fifth position by claiming the finishing blockade in a blot of 1 minute and 02.56 seconds.
Additionally, Caleb McGowan wound up sixth in a mark of 1 minute and 03.68 seconds and James Williams settled at seventh spot in a time of 1 minute and 04.04 seconds. Finally, Adam Kemp settled eighth in 1 minute and 15.01 seconds.
