Molly is lapping at the surface of the water?

Question

For two days now, my female molly has been hanging out at the top of the tank lapping at the water. She doesn't look unhealthy, and is still eating food, but I'm wondering why she is doing this. She is in a community tank and it is well aerated and cleaned every week.

My mollies did this and I learned that it was because there wasn't enough air in the water so they were 'gasping' at the top of the tank. They stopped doing this when I got a better filter that circulated water better. Hope this helps!

the molly is tired,and does not have enough air.I would buy a better filter,One that is more powerful.Then the molly will be OK.

Aeroate the water, the fish is tring to get some more air.
