Mom's 1/2 of orthodontist bill is overdue.

Question

It's time for my Step-son to get his braces removed, but his mother still has not paid her half of the bill. The ortho can't remove them until the last 2 grand is paid which of course we don't have. What can we do now? Won't leaving them on hurt his teeth more?

you can try to take them off yourself with a pair of pliers .  just make sure you have a lot of gauze to suck up the blood.

It won't hurt to keep the braces on as long as he keeps them clean.  I wouldn't do anything rash and follow the other guys advice, after the braces come off the orthodontist will give him retainers to wear to keep them straight.
