Just curious! I know there were times when my son was younger that I couldn't wait to get out and just socialize and not hear a crying baby.

  1. oh absolutly, Abscenss makes the heart grow fonder.

  2. h**l yeah.   Working is a piece of cake compared to being a stay-at-home Mom.

  3. I am a teacher, so I have a different work schedule and enviroment. I am around my two children(soon to be 3) when I am home, when I am  at school I around 90 students throughout the day. I like the fact that since it is summer, I am home during the day and I get o spend time with my children. I never feel like I need to work for a break because I have a husband who is always willing to help if I need a little time to myself.

  4. yes after my days off with the kids i'm ready to get back to work and adult conversation but by the end of the day i'm so ready to get back home to them

  5. I'm currently not working, but I'm looking to go back to work part time and definitely need a break from being "diaper changer" and "bottle-maker" 24 hours a day! Moms need interaction with other people to stay sane, I believe, and staying home all day, everyday, is very stressful and exhuasting! I am looking forward to going to work to get a break!!

  6. I must be the weird one.  Every time I go to work my husband almost has to pry me apart from my son.  It's a good thing I keep pictures with me, otherwise I would probably go crazy.  But sometimes it is a relief to talk about other things than diapers and bottles.  Except most of the women I work with tend to bring up those very topics on a frequent basis.

  7. I love my son. But I enjoy adult interaction and not changing diapers for the 21 hours per week I am at work. Being away from him for 7 hours a day reminds me how much I love him.

  8. Oh my gosh, yes! You need some time for yourself too. Most of the time, that's the only time us mommy's do get a break. Don't feel bad for wanting some peace and quiet. It's normal.

  9. I am a SAHM. I am enjoying having the kids home in the summer, but I am WAITING for the day school starts. I am actually crossing off the days on my calendar.

After school starts, I am GLAD every Monday morning to see them and their backpacks off to school.

So, yes, all moms are glad to get a break from kids.

  10. Of course. I usually work overtime so that I don't have to be around my kids.

  11. Depends on the day.  Some days I just need the break and other days I feel like time has gone too fast and I drag my feet getting ready for work.  I do like the break but I also enjoy being able to spend every day with my children.

  12. Yes. I love my son but still need time away. To miss him and not wait til I see him again. So Yes I do.
