Mom has foot fungus and used my nail clipper.?

Question

My mother used my nail clipper and she has a foot fungus(i didnt know it until she said something). First off ewww why the h**l would she use my clipper knowing that? and most importantly how do i clean my clippers? I ran fire over it is that enough to kill the foot fungus?

Boiling water, alcohol, that should kill any bacteria the clippers may have and you'll also have clean ones :) I say hide them well...hehehe

of course you dont want the foot fungus spreading if i was you i would buy a new pair before infection spreads

Fungus is actually difficult to spread (although once it's started, it's difficult to stop), so something as minimal as a nailclipper would be unlikely to spread it. Still try to use different clippers from your mum, though. It happens more often from sharing the same shower or from the swimming pool or from wearing your shoes too much so that bacteria is easy to grow. Anyway, running fire over it would be enough to kill the fungus, if it's there, so that was a good idea.
