Mom wont let me wear makeup

im thirteen years old and about to go into the eighth grade. my mom was a tomboy as a child and didnt start wearing makeup until she was 18! i guess she wants me to be like her, but all of my friends are allowed to wear makeup. so i have to sneak wearing makeup, but i can only wear mascara without her knowing it, but i have tried eyeliner and all that and i look much better with it, so can i have some tips on how to get my mom to let me where makeup?

Try talking to her in a mature way. Let her know that you're growing up, and you want to enhance your natural beauty. If she says yes, take the makeup a little bit at a time, DONT GO CRAZY! If she says no, don't whine or get angry, she'll only make you wait longer. I know this stuff! I'm about to be a freshman in high school, and i was SO nervous about asking my mom if I could wear makeup! I managed though, she said yes, I could wear some, not too much though, which is fine. That's all I wanted anyway. Good luck!
