  1. It's because the mother cat is pregnant and she's telling her kitten that she's old enough to move on and find her own territory.  In the wild, mother cats will usually abandon their kittens at around 12 weeks because they are physically and mentally capable of taking care of themselves at that age.  She now views the kitten as a rival for food and a mate, so she doesn't want her around any more.

Getting the mother cat and her kitten spayed will reduce competition between them and improve their relationship.

  2. maybe but if it hits the baby or hissing than get it away from the mom cause there's some mom cats that don't like all of there baby's

  3. yes, most likely it is just natural instinct

  4. you should capture that cat and get her SPAYED!

  5. human women is often physically tired of having a baby, that is probably the case for female cats too. it may also be discipline.

  6. Yes it could be just a warning for the baby to stay clear of Mom cat for a while. Mom cat is probably becoming very protective of her belly and her own health so she will be a little weird for a while.

Poor Mom cat getting pregnant so quickly after having kittens!

Hissing isn't really bad behaviour between Momcats and kittens, actually it's just like a human parent having a bit of a cranky yell at their kid and warning them.
