Mommy question: A picture I posted was deleted on myspace?

I posted new pictures of my son on my myspace. One of the pictures was of him in the bathtub, and you couldn't see ANYTHING. His private area was covered with a wash cloth, and you couldn't even see that in the picture. All you could see was from the chest up. I recieved a message from myspace saying that the picture was offensive. Do you think this was necessary?

  1. No that wasn't necessary at all... I am a member of myspace and I see women even men having offensive pictures up,  promiscuous pictures of them self posted. Lil 15 year olds trying too be s**y for the camera. People on myspace need too do their job nd delete their pictures instead of a proud mommy taking pictures of her son in the bath tub.

  2. thats ridiculus! no there is nothing wrong with that!  I have a picture of my daughter bathing on my bebo account. It hasnt been deleted or termed offensive

  3. just an idea but maybe people are objecting to you having pictures of your children online, not the subject of the pictures???  just an idea-some people might feel they are helping you by getting your pics deleted.

  4. No. Not at all. I rarely understand the pictures they decide to take off. I've seen pictures of girls doing all sort of "dirty" things with very little covering their body....but they took a picture off my page from a bachelorette party (all it was a baseball bat with baseballs in the "right place" but all the same. It was a cartoon) I think sometimes they just pull things off at random. Considering my profile is private so no one could have stumbled on it and been insulted

  5. I don't think it was necessary. Someone must of considered it child p**n. I would complain:

  6. no, that should not have been deleted. make your profile only availiable to friends if its not already.

  7. the same thing happened to me. i have about 10 pis up of my 4 month old in the tub and they only took one down and left the rest up. i think someone have to report a certain pic for them to take it down so watch who is on ur friends list.

  8. No, I think they were being overly cautious.

  9. I don't understand why they delete the things they do, when some people have very nasty pictures up.  It's the same on here--people get violations for no good reason, while those who could really use a violation notice go unchallenged.

  10. it did the same for me and I asked my mom about it and shes said that she thinks it's because of the child molesters out there. I don't quite understand it because there's pictures and layouts of half necked women on myspace and they aren't taken off at all.

  11. I have lots of pictures of my daughter on my myspace and that includes bath pictures. My page and my pictures are all for friends only and I have never had a problem. Set your stuff to private. Someone who has nothing better to do probably reported your pictures.

  12. didn't they just get in trouble for deleting pic's of breastfeeding mothers and babies? You'd think they would be smarter than that.
