During a lengthy interview with LFP, Mali international spoke about the tough competition at PSG and also spoke about how it feels to work under the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Claude Makelele
Among all recruits made by Paris Saint-Germain last summer, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Momo-c26769 Sissoko arrived without causing any real enthusiasm among the PSG fans. Blame it on a fragile physical condition, Sissoko could have casted a major doubt on the PSG faithful.
However, today, everyone is reassured by the performance of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man who has raised his game and become a clog in the midfield.
It must be said that the Malian was not really that worried about what the future beheld for him.
“I played for big clubs before. I saw great coaches, great players come and go. Here in Paris, it’s fantastic. The whole team has improved enormously in recent times.”
The former Juventus man also says that one cannot rest on his achievements when there is so much competition for places in a team like PSG. Sissoko feels that having so much competition is a good thing as it always brings the best out of the team which is
a necessary factor for success.
However, with so many characters in the dressing room, one can say that Carlo Ancelotti’s man management skills are being tested to the limit. And, Sissoko really appreciates what the likes of Ancelotti and Claude Makelele have done for the team.
Sissoko says that Ancelotti is a cool and calm coach who never panics. The Italian’s experience and mutual respect between himself and the players has played a big role in where PSG are today.
However, Sissoko refused to the idea of him being the designated successor of Claude Makelele. Makelele is widely considered as the archetype of the defensive midfield position of the modern game and Sissoko feels that he will never be what Makelele was
for that position.
“I’m not obsessed with this idea. I am lucky enough to have such an experienced player with me. I listen when he has something to say.”
Despite his prestigious experiences, Sissoko always heeds the advice of a legendary player which goes on to show that Sissoko could play a big role in writing a new chapter in the history of PSG.
